Easy Shakshouka

Shakshouka is a popular one pan dish from the Middle East while others argue it originated in Africa- Morocco. One thing you can’t argue about, is how delicious & simple this tomato based one pan egg dish is.

The lovely thing about this dish is you can pair it with a ton of sides, from leftovers to freshly made chapati or homefries. You can even go as far as pairing the egg dish with Ugali. Whatever is your jam, I say pair it.

Ingredient List

  • 3 Eggs 1/2 Onion diced
  • 3 tomatoes blended/ diced
  • Sprigs of Cilantro ( Dania)
  • 3 – 4 Sprigs of Thyme
  • 2 Cloves of mince garlic
  • 1 tsp of ginger paste
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 2 & 1/2 tsps of tomato pastes
  • 1/4 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp of cumin
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Salt to taste
